The Youth Ministry of Church of the Highlands

We want all of our youth to know Jesus Christ and to find their ultimate joy and satisfaction in Him. We have designed our youth ministry to deepen understanding of the greatness of our God, and to give encouragement in the pursuit of godliness. At Church of the Highlands we use Word of Life Student Ministry materials in order to disciple each teen in personal quiet time disciplines, Scripture memory, and prayer towards growth in their Christian life. We meet on Wednesday in the Upper Room of the Dream Center from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. We start with an ice breaker or game and then have our lesson from God's Word. Teens then meet with their small group, which consists of an adult leader and two - five other teens.

The Word of Life Student Ministry program allows for students to work toward a full scholarship to a week of summer camp at Word of Life (We typically go to the Word of Life Camp in Hudson FL called The Coast).  They do this through attendance, accountability with their Quiet Time Diary, Scripture memorization, reading of specific books geared toward Christian growth, and participating in ministry opportunities throughout the year. Our Word of Life "year" parallels the school year and begins in the middle of August, culminating in a Camp trip usually taken in June
