Reaching Tons of People

We've had a phenomenal evangelism week. We've knocked on every door within one mile of our church, plus a couple of other neighborhoods. When we knocked on their doors, we said, "We're from Church of the Highlands and would love to know if our church can do anything to serve you."

We've had all kinds of responses:

  • A shut-in elderly woman asked if someone would just sit there and talk with her because she was lonely.
  • A 15-year-old boy asked if someone could give him a ride to church.
  • Someone asked if he could have help getting his yard in order as his health is keeping him from taking care of things.

As we continue to build relationships with our neighbors, we will invite them to special events like Awesome Day on August 14th. We are investing in our community and will strategically invite them to Christ after we've built good relationships with them.

In addition to the "One Mile Mission," we wrote notes to all teachers at eight local schools. We'll give them to those teachers the week before school starts. Also, we wrote notes to every first-time guest who has come to our church in 2016.

Lastly, we got a lot of stuff done around the church campus this week. You can click here to see a thorough list of all kinds of things that took place around the physical property of our church.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday asI preach from Romans 6:1-14 about how a relationship with Christ sets you FREE!

All for Jesus,

Pastor Jeremy
