Happy Thanksgiving COH

Dear Church Family,

I am so thankful for you. Let me tell you why. During this time of transition I have seen so many of you step up in your love and generosity towards one another. Typically, a church will dwindle in attendance and giving during the transition of leadership. But we have seen quite the contrary. We have seen families join and people saved! Our attendance has increased as well as our giving! This is a miracle! God is working in the heart of our church body.

As we have learned through God's word, each and everyone of us is a different part of the Body of Christ. Some of us are hands, feet, eyes, ears, and mouthpieces. When we put all of this together we form a body that functions to the glory of our head, who is Jesus Christ!

I want to thank you and encourage you to keep pressing on. As we operate together, we will get stronger, better, and reach more for the Kingdom of God! And if God be for us, say it with me, "who can be against us"!

In closing I have a few announcements for us. Our next pot luck will be pushed back to December 10th. Please take advantage of the time that you have to prepare. We are in need of church-wide fellowship that our joy may increase.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 23rd. Church offices will be closed Wednesday, November 22nd through Friday, November 24th. On Sunday, November 26th, we will be having one combined service. Please spread the word.

This past Sunday, we began collecting jackets for Love's Arm Ministries. They will be used to clothe women caught in sex trafficking. Let's lead the way in generosity! If you have a jacket to give, please bring it this Sunday to be collected.

Though so much is going on in our lives, we have so much to be thankful for, especially our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His life so we might have life. Take time to reflect on how good He is and share your testimony around the great meals that you all will enjoy. I love you all! See you Sunday!
